The Meshify 2 does a great job of conveying that it is part of the Meshify series with its crystalized front mesh design. One could argue that the Meshify 2 has grown up a bit to reflect what Fractal Design envisions a high-end, front-mesh chassis should look like.

In the front, the metal mesh is no finer than what we would see in traditional cases, and there is a logo in the bottom-left corner to let you know what brand of enclosure it is. This also acts as a little handle to pull the mesh cover off the front panel.

This part of the case can be swung open for easy access to the fans for cleaning purposes. You may also pull the mesh off completely and detach its dust filter for cleaning. As you can see, the design of the two elements is the same, which is a nice detail. To change the fan setup or install liquid cooling here, pry off the entire front panel frame to reveal all screw-mounting positions.

The main side of the Meshify 2 comes with a clean glass window. Just like the Define 7, there are various degrees of tint you can pick from to best suit your preference. On the other side, the chassis is completely solid.

In the rear, the PSU bay utilizes a metal frame as you are meant to slide the unit into the chassis from this side. It is then held in place by two thumb screws. Above that are the seven horizontal and two vertical expansion slots with individual, reusable covers which employ thumb screws for easy access. This configuration means you may install your GPU vertically if you purchase the appropriate PCIe flex cable. In the very top, behind a cool-looking vent, is a third and final pre-installed retail-grade 140 mm fan set to push hot air out the back of the chassis. If you look closely, you will see two pull tabs, one on each side, which is a clever way to secure each of the side panels in a nice and clean fashion.

You may pull the top off to reveal a fully removable, nicely designed dust filter. Underneath that is a mounting bracket for up to three 140 mm fans or a radiator of up to 420 mm.

The I/O of the Fractal Meshify 2 is slightly different from that of the Define 7. It is missing the USB 2.0 ports, instead offering two USB 3.0, as well as a fully fledged USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port and the usual audio plugs.

A full length dust filter may be pulled out the bottom for easy cleaning. Even this element comes in a unique design befitting that of the Meshify 2, which is a pretty nifty tidbit.
