A Closer Look - Inside

You have to remove four screws on the chassis's underside to access the interior. The openings for the CPU and GPU area are protected by dust filters, so you won't have to worry about grime making its way into a chassis there. The insides of the Fractal Design NODE 202 are completely black to go with the rest of the chassis.

The motherboard area is supposed to hold a Mini-ITX board and sits right next to the SFX PSU. Fractal Design offers the NODE 202 in to variants: one without a PSU and one with a 450W 80Plus Bronze unit by FSP. We obviously got the version with a pre-installed power supply inside.

There is a small bracket for up to two 2.5'' drives right on top of the central divider. Moving on over, the GPU area may also hold two 120 mm fans to help with cooling. You should easily be able to install low profile fans and a GPU into the system here.

A black PCB is used to enable front I/O, buttons and LEDs; black cables are attached to this board and come with the standard connectors, so you should run into no issues while attaching these to a modern ITX board.
