A Closer Look
The MP7 is as noted a dual tower heatsink which comprises 51 aluminium fins in each fin stack that receive heat via six heatpipes. Each fin stack has the outer edges folded down to help with spacing and rigidity. Meanwhile, the side view shows just how much of an offset FSP opted for in order to improve memory clearance.
The backside of the heatsink has cut away fins for improved clearance with motherboard VRM heatsinks which is not a surprise considering the more compact dimensions.
The top plate has a nice black brushed aluminium appearance with the FSP moniker situated in a small cut out on said top plate. Looking at the heatpipes they are evenly spaced in the fin stacks with all six receiving heat from a nickel-plated copper base. When it comes to the fit and finish of the base itself is slightly convex, with some machining marks still visible even with the nickel-plating.
When it comes to the fans they don't have a specific make or model number besides the 240719 on the back. However, beyond that they have a PWM RPM range of 800–1800 and a max CFM of 76. Being that these fans have nine fan blades they split the difference between airflow and static pressure.
