I redid all of my performance testing again, as I'm now starting to build a fairly large collection of single-sided 4 GB performance DIMMs. I noticed a few interesting things while playing with all of these modules, including the differences between using two and four sticks at 1600 MHz. Numbers for both installation configurations, using similar timings, are included in the results, as are the numbers from the high-speed 2933 MHz G.Skill TridentX DIMMs I reviewed a short while ago and the JEDEC profile of those sticks. There are well over 140 different results in the following 23 performance metrics from 16 different benchmarks. The different workloads cover most uses users will encounter, yet I have specifically chosen benchmarks that are sensitive to performance differences. JEDEC numbers of the tested sticks, the XMP profile, and the maximum 24/7 stable overclock are included below.
