A Closer Look
G.SKILL's TridentZ sticks have a monolithic look and design that has been around for a while now, with a silvery grey color on one side and black on the other.
In other TridentZ modules, the plastic upper bar that runs the length of the top of the DIMM is a color or another, matched in different ways to different colors on the sides to complete the look specific board makers always tend to have, but this time around, the bar that carries the G.SKILL logo is white, although the logo still appear in all the right places.
The other difference is the "RGB" screened onto the stick under the TridentZ logo. The set I received is composed of single-sided DIMMs.
Looking at the label, we see 3600 MHz with 16-16-16-36 timings and a basic 1.35V operating voltage.
I always check the ends of DIMMs to see if there is anything interesting, but all I found was some gold "SC" lettering. This golden lettering has appeared on many of G.SKILL's DIMMs in the past, although the characters used have changed over the years, and I still do not have a single clue as to what they mean, if anything.
G.SKILL does also stamp their sticks with the size and speed on one end, making it easy to grab the right set if you've got a huge stack of TridentZ sticks for some overclocking fun.
