Packaging
G.Skill simplified their box design recently, going back to packaging much like that of their DDR2 modules. Gone are the brown cardboard boxes with Trident sticks inside. The front of the box shows you the memory, draped against a stylized background, and the rear has some marketing info and product specification labels.
Those labels mention the sticks' serial numbers, timings, and voltage, as well as other pertinent info to let you know whether you got the right kit. When buying a kit clocked as high as this one, you definitely want to know exactly what you are getting, and these labels help ensure you do. Inside the box, you'll find the sticks wrapped in a plastic clamshell-like thing.
Flip the sticks over and you will find their own labels as well as a completely different look. This is a huge part of why the current stable of G.Skill TridentZ sticks has been so well received by users and reviewers alike. Inside the box, you'll find the two memory sticks and a case badge, and that's it.
