Since I've covered this particular series of sticks many times since they've been out, it's hard to comment here without repeating myself. So here it goes. G.SKILL's Trident Z sticks offer something that is a cut above everything else out there right out of the box, and few DDR4 kits out there can ever hope to compare to what these sticks can provide. They really are that good, as many benchmark records that use them show. The downside to that is people know this, and have known it for a long time, so these aren't some hidden gems that you can get for a steal of a deal. These sticks cost a lot, and there is good reason why.

High performance memory isn't for everyone; however, it definitely is for me. Sometimes, being the sort of user that really appreciates that means that building a system as such a user can be a slow and arduous process as you chew through parts looking for that perfect match to get you the best of everything, no matter what. Maybe your board doesn't work just right or your CPU isn't quite as capable as you'd like, or maybe that memory doesn't scale as high as you'd like... these G.SKILL TridentZ sticks take the memory side of things out of the equation, and this 4000 MHz set even more so than most. There are only a few kits that you can buy with higher speeds, after all. However, these days, many CPUs are capable as well, leaving your motherboard as the breaking point here. The truth of the matter is that if your board doesn't claim to support a specific memory speed, it really doesn't, and these sticks are most definitely going to show that. They won't work with every board, but that's the price you pay for being near the limits of what's possible for daily use. if you're prepared for all that, get out your wallet, but if not, you best stay away from these sticks because they won't treat you well. But treat them well and match them with some other good hardware and these sticks will be so good you'll likely never need another set for a long time to come. That's just what G.SKILL offers with their TridentZ sticks, so why haven't you got yours already?
