Introduction

GEEKOM Logo

GEEKOM is not a brand many will have heard of, but it has been around for quite some time. Originally formed in 2003, GEEKOM has grown to the point where they are now entering the mainstream market. Helped by new product releases, which include various mini-PCs and laptops, brand awareness will certainly grow. Overall, the company's future looks bright, and it will be quite intriguing to see what they come up with going forward.

Today's review will focus on the GEEKOM Mini IT8 mini PC, which offers an interesting performance and value proposition. Equipped with an Intel Core i5-8259U, which has 4 cores and 8 threads, 16 GB of DDR4 SODIMM memory, and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD, it has the makings of a solid system for those trying to avoid bulky tower systems. In addition, users can further increase memory up to a maximum of 32 GB, and storage can be further increased via a 2.5-inch drive. It looks quite promising, but before heaping any actual praise, let's get down to the details.
