GEEKOM Mini IT8 Mini PC Review

Packaging and Contents

The box is rather plain, but does the job just fine. On top, the company name is bold and easily visible while making sure everyone knows a mini-PC is inside. Meanwhile, the back has a simple specifications list and little else. The same goes for the front, which is essentially the same as the top. Suffice it to say, you won't be finding any fancy pictures here.

Turning to the right side gives us a quick look at the system's front panel, while the back shows off the rear I/O in much the same way. Overall, at first glance, the included I/O looks promising. As for the left side, it makes a note of the Intel processor inside, along with the integrated graphics being from Intel's Iris family of products. In general, there isn't much information presented on the packaging, which is a shame, but also understandable in an age where the majority of these products are ordered online anyway.

The interior packaging is quite well designed with thick foam securing and protecting the Mini IT8 PC. I have no complaints to speak of in regards to the protection offered to the system and accessories.

When it comes to bundled hardware, GEEKOM has gone a bit above and beyond—not by much, but the inclusion of an HDMI cable is rather refreshing. It is something I have not seen on many other products in this category and always a welcome addition. The rest of the accessories are relatively standard. You have your power brick, VESA mounting plate, system manual, and a nice bag to hold everything if needed.
