Testing Rated Speeds

I've purposely chosen a board with a very low maximum memory-speed rating with which to test all "Ryzen-Ready" RAM to see if AMD's AGESA updates have helped make these entry-level boards any better in the memory department and how the worst-case scenario plays out. I've chose two options to push all these sticks at; the 2933 MHz option when "XMP" is chosen (which is automatically set by that XMP profile being enabled) and a manual 3066 MHz option since the 3000 MHz divider is simply not something you can pick with this motherboard. There have been many Intel-rated kits that claim support with Intel CPUs to speeds that are most certainly faster than what this board supports, and nearly every one defaults to this 2933 MHz option. Given this is all this board is rated to, it's interesting to see how the sticks behave when the BIOS simply says "NO! Go sit in the corner!", and quite a few sets have had to run right back out of this board crying because they simply aren't stable. I am happy to report that this set from GeiL did not and ran just fine, but when it comes to stuff like this, your mileage may vary. :P

Below are screenshot from CPU-Z of the two profiles I ran:
