A Closer Look - Outside

Out of the box, the Geometric Future Model 5 is essentially a mid-tower ATX chassis. It is deeper, but also not quite as tall as classic mid-towers. The PSU bay has been moved to the front of the case. The overall design with its colors and plenty of unique details really make the Model 5 a stunner to look at, but obviously that is a purely subjective sentiment.

Looking at the front, the clear glass hugs the orange PSU box, so you get an interesting material and unique design all in one. This is the first time we have seen any dual-glass chassis with this setup, and it is quite refreshing. In the rear, the majority of the surface is perforated in the same shape as the "O" from the company name. As the PSU is deep within the chassis, a cable has been routed to the back for you to plug power into. There is a neat row of five hooks for external cable management as well, which is fantastic to see.

The second main glass panel is also clear with the same slim black framing to maximize your viewing area. It is held in place with pins, so you can easily pull it off the chassis without the need for any tools. The PSU box is not just a color highlight that draws your attention, but this is also the surface where you will see the Geometric Future branding and logo. On the opposite side, there is a mostly perforated steel panel with a solid strip running across the middle. Here you will find a bit more branding.

Geometric Future has also paid a lot of attention to the small details like the IO in the front, which is neatly arranged in two rows. There is an audio combo jack, reset and power switches as well as all black USB 3.0 Type-A as well as a USB Type-C port. While the case is riveted together, this PSU bay is actually secured with screws, and bent neatly out of a single piece of metal, so there are barely any seams to speak of.

In the rear, the seven expansion slots are protected by individual, reusable covers. Above that, there is a mounting location for a 120 or 140 mm fan, which Geometric Future has filled with a 140 mm ARGB unit that is set to exhaust air out the back. Thanks to the elongated mounting holes you also have a bit of flexibility in its vertical placement. Above that, the Model 5 doesn't try to be as short as possible, but instead offers lots of room for any ceiling mounted liquid cooling assembly to the right of the aforementioned power plug.

The top of the Geometric Future Model 5 is also completely vented and may be removed in a tug & pull motion. Thanks to the thick steel used, the entire panel still feels really solid despite all the holes. Underneath this you find mounting holes for three 120 or 140 mm fans. Alternatively, the Model 5 can easily hold a 420 mm radiator here. As another little attention to detail, the openings here are shaped to mimic the "O" in the brand name as well. At the far right corner, there is an area which could have been useful for cable management to route wiring from fans or the AIO out of sight easily, especially as there is a little room between the top cover and the body of the chassis. In the front right corner, the PSU bay sports a mounting bracket which is held in place by a single thumb screw. You may install your unit here with the fan facing the mesh side panel to allow for direct access to fresh air.

Tipping the Geometric Future Model 5 on its side, there is a full coverage, fine mesh dust filter. The underside of the chassis is designed in a way that allows you to pull the mesh filter out on either side of the chassis, which is awesome. Thanks to embedded magnets, it snaps into place perfectly when you slide it back into place.
