Final Thoughts and Conclusion

  • The Gigabyte Z490 Vision G is available for US$199.99.
  • Solid VRM design
  • Good overclocking
  • Attractive white aesthetic
  • No WiFi
The Gigabyte Z490 Vision G is a striking motherboard. Gigabyte has done a good job of creating a white theme that stands out visually, but still fits a wide array of components. The RGB LEDs are the best I have seen on a Gigabyte board, with great brightness and diffusion. While the implementation lags behind some other boards in terms of complexity and customization, the diffusion is excellent, and the placement blends in seamlessly with the board's theme.

Out of the box, performance was excellent for the Gigabyte Z490 Vision G. Memory overclocking was good as well, as I reached 3900 MHz CL16 stable with my Trident Z Neo kit. For CPU overclocking, I was able to achieve 5.3 GHz on all cores. The largest limitation to overclocking with Z490 is going to come down to dealing with the heat produced by the incredibly dense Intel Core i9-10900K. VRM thermals were good as well, never exceeding 80 °C during even my VRM torture testing.

The Gigabyte Z490 Vision G is a good-looking board with great performance and an affordable price tag. If you are in the market for a mid-range Z490 motherboard, the Gigabyte Z490 Vision G is worth a look.
