Shape

While the Model D is a variation of the EC1 shape, the Model D- is a variation of the EC2 shape. Calling it a clone would not be appropriate, though, since there are several key differences between these two shapes. For one, the left side is still raised and the hump centered on the Model D-, but the hump itself isn't as tall, which makes it less restrictive in terms of grip style. Furthermore, the Model D- flares out a bit more aggressively at the front than the EC2, although the overall width isn't all that different. In that regard, the D- also differs from the Model D, which stays slim all the way to the front. Finally, the Model D- is not as bulky as the EC2 even though the difference isn't massive. Much like on the Model D, all edges of the mouse are rounded on the D-, and the main buttons have somewhat pronounced comfort grooves. The only difference between the Model D- Wireless and Model D- is the lack of holes on the main buttons on the former. Overall, a well-rounded, easily adapted to shape.

As for grip styles, I'd say the Model D- Wireless generally suits all three main grip styles, which are palm, claw, and fingertip grip. It is a medium-sized mouse with a fairly pronounced hump, which should make it generally suit most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Model D- Wireless very comfortable in claw grip.
