Introduction

HIS Logo

AMD recently released their Radeon HD 6790 Series which is a trimmed down version of the HD 68xx, based on the same GPU chip but with reduced performance. Priced at $150, right in the gamer's sweet spot range, the card offers plenty of power for gaming at up to 1680x1050.

HIS has equipped their IceQ X Turbo version with the company's new IceQ X heatsink which uses semi-transparent blue plastic cooler. The clock speeds of the card have also received a healthy bump, up to 900 MHz core and 1100 MHz memory.
