Introduction

HyperX Logo

Established in 2002, HyperX is the gaming gear division of HP. With the ambidextrous Pulsefire Haste 2, HyperX upgrades their Pulsefire Haste from 2021 across the board. First of all, HyperX has gotten rid of all externally visible holes, yet managed to actually lower the weight, from 57 g to 53 g. Instead of the older PixArt PAW3335 sensor, the HyperX 26K sensor is used now, which essentially is a PixArt PAW3395. In addition, the Pulsefire Haste 2 is now capable of true 8000 Hz polling. Whereas the Pulsefire Haste utilized TTC Gold switches rated for 60/80 million clicks for the main buttons, the Haste 2 comes with HyperX switches rated for 100 million clicks. The cable is of the particularly flexible paracord-like variety, pure PTFE feet are used, and sets of grip tape and replacement feet once again are included in the box. Basic RGB lighting is present as well, and can be configured within HyperX NGENUITY, which provides the usual customization options. Lastly, NVIDIA Reflex is supported on compatible monitors. The Pulsefire Haste 2 is available in black or white.
