This is my first time with a HYTE product, although I had an inkling of what to expect given the brand does not shy from its trendy and colorful presence. The product box is similarly colorful, with the brand logo and the product line on the front along with flying keycaps in RGB space. The back is tame and lot more informative by comparison, featuring a render of the keyboard, salient features and a list of contents inside, with keyboard specs too. From the side we see an angled cutout, meaning the lid doesn't open up as much as I'd want to. Between this and the artwork inside, it really feels like the unboxing experience is flash over substance. I also don't get why there are hollow cardboard trays above and below the keyboard—they add further protection, but they were bent on the sides and just made me question if I was missing something that was originally inside them.
The keyboard comes inside a fabric wrap sealed on the back, with the accessories in a separate box and a quick start guide underneath. HYTE has an online guide going over the keyboard and software too. We also get a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, an adapter going from Type-C to dual Type-A, a spare set of keyboard feet, and some additional foam gaskets too. Missing is a keycap puller and switch remover tool, which would have been handy for the Keeb TKL.
