HYTE Y70 Touch Review

Packaging

HYTE ships the Y70 Touch in their classic brown box with the same design language as the Y40 for example. As this is the touch version, HYTE went the creative route and put a sticker unto the front of the package to mimic what the display could look like in action. That sticker is right where the display is in the basic drawing on the box. The other side of the package sports a blow-up diagram. On the sides, there is a specification table and some fun reasons why HYTE made this case. Funny enough, if you look closely, you can see that the Nexus app graphic actually covers some of the spec table. This is printed on and as such clearly a mistake.

The case is held in place by two thick Styrofoam spacers. A plastic bag further protects the chassis from scratches and fingerprints. In addition to that, the display has a cardboard cover - just so you can rest assured your Y70 Touch makes it to you safe and sound.

Contents

Within the package, you will receive a short DisplayPort loop cable, audio splitter for traditional headphones, some zip ties, assorted black screws as well as several black Velcro strips for cable management. HYTE also includes some plastic replacement parts, should any of the clips break over time, which is a nice touch. Lastly, a very detailed assembly manual is also part of the package. It has two QR codes - one for a digital manual and another which leads you to the nexus app page.
