The case itself looks quite impressive. Ikonik has opted for a front door, made of thick aluminum with diamond cut edges (note the little sparkling effect in the picture). The side comes with a mesh window, which can easily be replaced by the supplied Plexiglas window. The bare case and the side panels are constructed of aluminum, while the front is a combination of plastic and aluminum.

Ikonik has managed to use a design, which looks not only cool, but flows well with the rest of the case. The door swings open from left to right, which is great, as you will most likely place the unit to the right of your workspace. The rear of the chassis looks a bit out of the ordinary as the chassis is quite tall, but as you can see, the interior is left unpainted.

The sides are quite unique as well. As mentioned before, Ikonik ships the one side panel with a metal mesh window, which is actually parted in the middle by a plastic bar. The other side holds another unique aspect of the Ra X10 - a whooping eight fans. The bottom set pulls in air and pushes it across the hard drives, while the top row exausts air out of the chassis.

The front of the case holds two logos. The large one is of the model itself - Ra X10, while the small one is the Ikonik company logo. I do think that the Ra X10 logo is a bit large, but nonetheless does not seem to disturb the overall design of the case at all. There is another company logo on the window divider, so anyone looking at your hardware through the window will also know who produces the beautiful case.

Ikonik has placed the I/O on top of the case. As you can see, there are two eSATA, four USB 2.0, a Firewire and the usual audio connectors - making for a complete set. At first I was shocked, as I thought that the top of the case was constructed of plastic, but it turns out that that only the frame is of such material, while the majority is made of sand blasted aluminum. Considering the material used, the top cover has an elaborate shape with a few air vents in the rear.

Moving our focus to the rear of the chassis, starting at the bottom, there are two 80 mm fans blowing air out the back. Above that are eight expansion slots for the mainboard. That means that you will not loose a real expansion slot when using USB 2.0 or other expansion brackets supplied with your mainboard. There are two holes to route water cooling tubes out the rear of the case. Ikonik has chosen to secure the side panel with two methods. The first being normal thumb screws, while the second is a plastic locking mechanism, which can release the panel with the push in the rear of the case. There is a 140 mm exaust fan in the usual area above the mainboard expansion slots, while the power supply is still installed on the very top of the case.
