Packaging and Accessories

I saw the INTUAURA staff at the show pack up the Lakeview—a new unit that wasn't used at the show—in the box, effectively giving me a reverse unboxing experience live in person. I understand the retail packaging will be similar, albeit perhaps with a decorative banderole over the cardboard box. This is also why the labels aren't the most clear, as they had to print with what was available at the audio show. Either way, expect to see brand and product names on the box, with product specifications on the back and serial number on the side.

Tear away the seal and the box opens to reveal the IEM storage/carry case inside a soft fabric wrap. The Lakeview comes with a premium leather case embossed with the INTUAURA logo on the top and has a clasp to help keep it closed. But then we see the sides are separate pieces, so this case does not feel as solid and sturdy in the hands as it should, especially for a premium product. Opening the case reveals everything comes inside this case, making it one of the larger such options to take on the go. Removing the contents shows the inside clasps that help assemble this into a case, and why I maintain INTUAURA had a good idea here, and even worked with a domestic supplier for this case which seemingly is used by other IEM brands for products in the $5000+ price range. I definitely get the materials used are luxurious, although the execution could be better.

INTUAURA provides a soft microfiber cleaning cloth, a QC sticker, a warranty card that has the serial number on it, and a plastic ziplock bag with spare filters for the IEMs, which is really nice to see. We also get a branded black drawstring fabric pouch with the IEMs stored in the individually stitched compartments, and this adds further protection on top of what the leather case offers. There are also two other ziplock bags with the DSP cables inside that we will get to on the next page, and rounding off the accessories is a hard plastic ear tips box that gives you two types of white silicone ear tips in sizes S/M/L each. These differ bore length and flange stiffness + diameter, and I do wish we got more ear tips included to wrap up what is a practical unboxing experience which flirts with luxury, but doesn't get there.
