Introduction
LETSHUOER, which was previously and still is more commonly known simply as Shuoer, impressed me with
the EJ07M in-ear monitors that used three different driver types to achieve an excellent take on a V-shaped tuning with good treble extension. This was combined with a full metal shell where competitors go with less expensive resin, and the case, ear tips, and cable were all quite good for the going price. As part of its rebranding exercise from "Shuoer" to "LETSHUOER," the company also sought to release new products, including
a portable DAC/amp and whole
new edition of the EJ07M with a different tuning. However, what excited me more was the company teasing its own take on the single planar magnetic driver IEM. Let's thank LETSHUOER for providing a review sample!
With
the 7Hz Timeless becoming a wild success by using a well-tuned ~14.2 mm planar magnetic driver at a good price, LETSHUOER knew immediate comparisons would be made. The newer LETSHUOER S12 aims to appeal to the user base by offering a different, slightly larger driver in a smaller and more ergonomic package. This is paired with two different color options, nebula gray and frosted silver, and did I mention it costs significantly less, too? It's time to put the LETSHUOER S12 through its paces in our review beginning with a look at the product specifications in the table below.
