SSD Interface Connector

Like most M.2 NVMe SSDs, the Lexar NM610 connects to the host system over a PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interface.

Chip Component Analysis

SSD Controller

We've encountered the Silicon Motion SM2263XT controller on several M.2 SSDs before. It is a fairly recent model with four flash channels, solid performance, and support for DRAM-less TLC.

SSD Flash Chips

The four flash chips are Micron 64-layer 3D TLC NAND; they have been rebranded by Lexar and now look a little bit like Toshiba chips. Each chip has a capacity of 256 GB.
