Installing the motherboard is done utilizing the spacers and screws. As you can see, there is loads of space above it for the two grommets. Adding a GPU is pretty straightforward as well, and we routed the power cables through the grommets on the side of the motherboard. While this works well enough, things could be a bit tight if going for cooling on the side of the chassis as well; thus, some careful planning may be required. (Editors Note: we only had the short GPU at our disposal, but will be switching to "long" GPUs in 2022). Lian Li does advertise E-ATX support, which is technically true, but you would have even more cable-routing trickery to consider, so do take that mention with a grain of salt.

You may install a 2.5" drive in four different locations within the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo. One is the central plate, and there are the internal and external positions around the HDD cage, side mounting plate or top/bottom rails. We opted for the central plate by using rubber-ring screws which are then squeezed down and hold in place nicely.

The two metal drive trays in the opposite compartment are the main position for 3.5" drives, but similar to the 2.5" variants, you also have several other options. You may fill the trays by using the same rubber-ring screws, and the larger storage unit holds in place just as well.

Once filled, simply slide the trays back into position until you hear and feel a snap. The connectors are easily reached.

Installing the PSU is pretty straightforward. Simply place it and use the included screws to secure it. You should really install it before adding hard drives to the central plate since it makes cable management and routing so much easier.

Back in 2018, we still employed air cooling in our system setups, but nowadays, we aim to squeeze the biggest AIO into the system, which is a 360 mm variant for the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo. You may prepare it outside of the case because of the removable frame. With that done, it slides into place easily. Thanks to the three possible positions for such a large radiator, you really have quite a bit of flexibility on how to set up your system as well.

With everything installed, but the exterior shell still not in place, the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo makes a very clean impression. The main leads disappear nicely into the rear through the forward-facing grommets, which adds to the overall cleanliness. Thanks to the evolved cable management and central plate, things actually look really clean in the storage and PSU compartment as well.
