MechanicalKeyboards.com is one of the biggest retailers of, as you may have guessed, mechanical keyboards in the world. They operate out of the USA, and carry a lot of brands that enthusiasts tend to prefer. Among them is MK, their own brand, which they use to sell their designs. Given that they do not have any manufacturing abilities themselves, and also that they just happen to be the North American service center for Ducky Keyboards, it is Ducky who manufactures the keyboards instead. Now if you happen to know anything about Ducky Keyboards, then you will know they are known for their high build quality and keeping prices reasonable. Today we take a look at the MK Fission, the latest keyboard in the MK brand, and thanks to them for providing the review sample.
The MK Fission is a standard full size keyboard, and comes in ANSI layout only. Given that MK is a retailer as well, they have more stock of mechanical switches than most other manufacturers and this shows in the available choices for the MK Fission. Boasting all genuine Cherry MX switches, you can choose between nine different Cherry MX switch types (Red, Brown, Blue, Black, Silent Red, Speed Silver, Green, Clear, White and each comes in an option of black or white keycaps for a total of 18 permutations. There are a few more tricks up its sleeve- an accent bar with RGB lighting rather than RGB backlighting, and white backlighting as two different lighting sources to help meet the customization needs of customers. Let us take a look now at the product beginning with the specifications.
