The Montech Heritage Pro is a compact Micro-ATX case at its core, but Montech has wrapped it in a unique material to make it stand out. So if you were to just look at the case in its traditional form, the $110 price tag doesn't feel like anything to phone home about, but once you consider the material mix, it does seem like a pretty competitive price point.
The interior layout with the PSU in the front is inherently a bit tricky in general, as the case can't be too long to really give you careless flexibility for all the long GPUs. Montech attempts to solve that by including an SFX bracket to entice you to opt for such a more compact unit to free up room alongside the fact that you can adjust the height positioning so that long AIOs can be installed.
The best balance would probably simply to use a 360 mm AIO and pair it with an SFX-L unit in the front if you happen to have a GPU that is longer than 360 mm. While that does have a bit of a price premium over an ATX unit, odds are if you splurged for a massive GPU, that extra spend is fine. That said, for the majority of users, you still get to enjoy the use of a quality ATX power supply while easily fitting your GPU.
It is good that Montech opted to have that fifth expansion slot, because it allows for the three fans in the floor to be installed and still leave just enough room for any existing wires plugged into the bottom edge of the motherboard at the same time, but you would totally be forgiven if you are sweating that part of the assembly step a bit.
There are a few things that feel like a cost-cutting measure too far, like the lack of dust filters on the front and side vents. While Montech advertises the Heritage Pro with the capability of holding up to nine fans, two of them are not going to be very useful to you - that area could have been used for additional storage instead.
Ultimately, the Montech Heritage Pro is not perfect, but still quite functional overall. What it really has going for it is the looks and material mix. That is clearly going to be the biggest draw and anyone interested in the case will then navigate the component selection to fit as well. For that reason, we can absolutely recommend the Montech Heritage Pro, especially since it is well priced to boot.
