Shape

The shape of the Makalu somewhat closely resembles that of the Logitech G403, but there are several differences. The Makalu 67 is wider in the back, narrower around the middle, and slimmer in the front. Additionally, the Makalu slopes down more aggressively towards the front, so the buttons generally sit lower in comparison. The biggest similarity lies in the hump department, which too is centered and similarly tall on the Makalu, although not tapered as much. Also notable is the absence of a front flare or comfort grooves on the Makalu, which provides more leeway in terms of positioning one's fingers. Lastly, the Makalu 67 of course has a very different shell composition. While the main button pieces are completely solid, the back consists entirely of holes. The hole pattern goes further on the right side than on the left side—as a result, my thumb and ring finger sit on solid plastic whereas my pinky doesn't. Having said that, the holes are definitely of the unintrusive kind as I barely noticed them during use.

As for grip styles, I'd say the Makalu 67 mostly suits palm and claw grip. It's a medium to large mouse with a fairly pronounced hump, which should make it suitable mostly for larger hands. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Makalu 67 very comfortable in claw grip.
