The MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC does a superb job of dissipating heat because of its extended heat sink. You won't have to worry about thermal throttling on this board. The MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC automatically increases fan curves when overclocking, which accounts for the lower temperatures in my overclocked tests. Power consumption wasn't bad overall, but idle draw was pretty high. I think that this is something MSI should attempt to address with future BIOS updates.
