The MSI MPG Gungnir 120R ships in a plain brown cardboard box with the same outlined image of the case on the larger panels. On the sides, you will find some marketing bulletin points and a list of specifications.


Two thick Styrofoam spacers hold the chassis in place, while a plastic bag protects it from fingerprints and scratches.

The MSI MPG Gungnir 120R ships with a basic set of black screws and a few small zip ties. On top of that, you will also find a high-quality 3-way PWM splitter cable that is compatible with the pre-installed 3-pin fans. Lastly, there are two manuals and a promotional pamphlet to encourage you to review your purchased chassis for the chance to win some MSI swag. If you look closely, the manual is titled "112R" and "113R", so it seems that MSI has opted for a last minute change in the model name. The larger step in numbering makes sense to add a bit more differentiation. However, under the hood the MPG Gungnir 120R still utilizes the same chassis as the 110 and 111 series.
