The MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi features a direct 18-phase VRM configuration without doublers or teaming of the power stages.


MSI is using a Renesas RAA229131 PWM controller to drive the MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi.


The MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi uses Renesas 220075R0 power stages for the eighteen Vcore phases. These power stages each support a maximum of 75 A of continuous current. For the VCCGT (iGPU) phase, MSI is using a single Renesas 220075R0 power stage.

The MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi has a maximum output of 1,425 A, with 1,350 A dedicated to Vcore.


The CPU VCCAUX is driven by a Monolithic Power Systems M2940A PWM using a single MP87992 70 A power stage.
