The MSI MEG Z790 ACE features a massive 24+1+2 phase VRM configuration. It may very well be the highest phase count seen so far! This is a bit beyond over engineered. MSI marketing say these Vcore MOSFETs are configured as Duet Rail Power System (DRPS). Which translates to the commonly used term "teamed" power stages, in which every paired two receives the same PWM signal.

MSI is using a Renesas RAA 229131 PWM controller to drive the MSI MEG Z790 ACE power stages.

The MSI MEG Z790 ACE uses Renesas RAA22010540 power stages for the 24 Vcore phases. These power stages each support a maximum of 105 A of continuous current. The VCCGT (iGPU) phase on this motherboard is using a single Renesas RAA22075R0 power stage.

Here we can spot the VCCAUX power rail. This is using a Monolithic Power Systems M2940A PWM paired with two MP67670-H power stage.

MSI MEG Z790 ACE has a maximum output of up to 2,520 A dedicated to Vcore.
