Board Software
Used as the interface to access the board-level hardware adjustments needed to overclock, and a few other features, MSI's new Command Center software is truly a command center.
I rather like the large and easy-to-read layout offered by MSI's Command Center, with each section sliding into the next, including access to some RamDrive software and the OC Genie controls.
One new bit of software is the Direct OC panel used to control the on-board buttons and what they do. There are also control panels for all Fast Boot features and the Killer NIC interface. The Fast Boot panel has a "Direct-to-BIOS" button, one I use a lot to get directly into the BIOS for changes. When Fast Boot features are enabled, getting into the BIOS any other way can be nigh on impossible since current UEFI implementations allow boards to POST so very quickly.
MSI's Live Update utility worked perfectly, allowing me to download the latest software and BIOS, and have each automatically install. You can also have it save the download file for a later installation. Super RAID and MSI XTU are here as well, for those that use those features.
Panels for the included SB Cinema and Super Charger USB function, and Video Genie for converting video into portable formats, all also install off the driver disc. Every panel has its own usefulness as well, adding to a very large software package that completely dwarfs what some other boards offer.
