Initial Setup

Netac sells the DDR5 Shadow II kit in two color variations; white or black and has an RGB option as well. Here, though is the basic black ones. Netac also sent over two kits for some glam photos which was appreciated. These memory modules blend right in without any RGB lighting. Having no integrated lights can be a good thing as not everyone wants it. If you do, Netac sell a RGB version as well.

A quick note about when it comes to using four DIMMS, the motherboard manufacturers QVL list should always be consulted when adding a second memory kit. Otherwise, all bets are off when it comes to compatibility. From experience so far with DDR5, Intel Z690 motherboards are often particularly picky when four DIMMs are in use. A good example of this is with the ASUS Z690 Hero. Using these two kits in conjunction sets the memory automatically at DDR5-4000. Manually adjusting it to 4800 MT/s resulted in the system failing to boot. A work around for this was to adjust (increase) the integrated memory controller (vDD2), System Agent (SA), and VDDQ_TX voltages.
