Dimensions

The backrest is 78 cm (30.7 in.) tall and 49 cm (19.3 in.) wide at the shoulder and pelvis areas. Its inner width is 27 cm (10.6 in.), while its outer width is 46 cm (19.3 in.). These dimensions cannot be adjusted, and are at least 10 cm (3.93 in.) removed from the normal-sized EPIC series.


The base and seat are also smaller than the EPIC series, being 42–48 cm (15.7–19.7 in.) deep with an inner width of 28 cm (11 in.) and an outer width of 49 cm (19.3 in.).

Adjustments

Some of the dimensions are adjustable. The total height ranges from 112 to 122 cm (44.1 to 48 in.). The width of the outer armrest can also be adjusted through three bolts under the base of the seat, while the backrest can be tilted up to 13°.


By lifting the lever on the left side, under the base, the seat can be moved back and forth by around 5.8 cm (2.28 in.) to better accommodate the thighs of large users.


What's more, the tension of the backrest can be adjusted and locked in position by two levers that turn clockwise and are located under the seat on the left and right sides. Lastly, backrest movement can also be made to follow our every move for something new to the ergonomics of chairs from noblechairs.

Upholstery

As mentioned, this chair is available in two different upholstery covers, sustainable PU leather made out of 80% renewable/natural raw materials and manufactured in Germany or fleece, the same as for the TX series. The latter is a soft fabric resembling velour to the touch, and it is warm, yet breathable. The PU upholstery additionally has two carbon stripes starting on the inside of the headrest and ending at the seat's base, which has the PU EPIC Compact look more sportive than the cozy TX fabric variant. The stitching is immaculate since the chair is entirely machine-assembled for precision and consistency.


The noblechairs emblem is on the front of the headrest and at the shoulder level, and we also find a metallic plate with the noblechairs name and logo.

Inner Cushioning and Frame

When choosing foam for a piece of furniture, a balance between comfort, support, and durability is what matters and should be considered. Under the PU cover is solid, durable, deform-resistant cold foam cushioning that will keep its shape even after prolonged use. That having been said, it is comfortable after even eight hours of use. A stainless steel frame structurally enhances the chair and keeps everything together.

Armrests

The armrests are made out of soft PU, and the noblechairs emblem has been etched into the front of these. These armrests are 3D, which means they can move up/down, clockwise, and back/forth.


The armrests are soft to the touch and only have one button for up/down movement.

Neck and Lumbar-Support Pillows

There are two cutouts on the headrest for the neck support cushion straps to go through and secure to the rear. The cutouts are reinforced with black plastic of suitable quality, which also adds to the sportive look.


Two memory foam pillows with straps and safety buckles are also included.


These headrest and lumbar- support pillows are covered in velour and have the noblechairs name and logo embroidered on them.

Gas Lift, Five Star Base and Casters

For the chair to be able to handle the 120 kg weight maximum and swivel 360°, a powder-coated aluminium five-star base has been added to the chair's rigid structure. Given the compact dimensions of the EPIC Compact, its base is also smaller than other chairs, which has it fit into cramped spaces.


A Safety Class 4 hydraulic gas lift handles any height adjustments, and does so smoothly. Its casters are 6 cm (2.36 in.) across, with a nylon core and polyurethane coating for unobstructed, quiet movement across all surfaces.
