A Closer Look - Outside
Out of the box, the NZXT H1 looks absolutely stunning with its compact shape and single-piece metal cover that wraps around the window and mesh front and back.
The front consists of the glass window panel, which is framed in black plastic with the NZXT logo on the bottom. Turning the chassis around, the rear is a solid plastic panel that acts as a huge air vent. On the bottom, you will find a little nook—this is where all the connected cables will come out.
Both sides of the NZXT H1 are part of the main steel panel and completely perforated, which means the chassis has three sides that are dedicated to aiding airflow within this compact enclosure.
In the top, you will only find a single USB 3.0 and a USB-C port along with the audio combo plug NZXT introduced with their bigger H-Series enclosures in the recent past. While I think the I/O is adequate, NZXT could have offered two Type A plugs with the same cable the single one connects to, which could come in handy as the motherboard I/O is going to be facing downward and may be a bit trickier to reach than in traditional enclosures.
