NZXT Kraken 120

NZXT has provided us with their new Kraken 120 AIO as well. It ships in their signature white and purple box with an image of the unit on front and further details on the rear. Both sides hold detailed specifications and further information in multiple languages.

As with most AIO, the Kraken 120 ships in a cardboard insert to keep everything in place, with various plastic bags on components for additional protection.

You will receive mounting parts for both Intel and AMD platforms. NZXT also includes cable adapters to connect the ARGB element to the motherboard header or attach further lighting parts directly to the AIO itself.

The included 120 mm fan sports NZXT's signature design with rubber-ringed screw mounting holes, and sleeved cables that terminate in a PWM plug.

The Kraken 120 uses mesh-sleeved tubing for added protection and an embedded radiator pump, so the mounting on the CPU itself has no moving parts and thus does not require a fan header.

The pump in the center comes with a 3-pin connector, so you may allow the motherboard to adjust its speed. The wire may be routed to the left or right edge of the radiator for clean cable management. It also comes with a fill port, so you may top up or even replace the fluid. The mounting base of the Kraken 120 has an embedded ARGB lighting element and comes with two permanently attached cables—one goes to NZXT's ARGB controller or connects straight to the motherboard with the aforementioned adapter cable, while the other allows you to chain further NZXT products or generic ARGB lights with an adapter. Out of the box, the Kraken 120's base comes pre-installed with the Intel mounting bracket and has a dab of thermal paste pre-applied.
