  • Excellent cable management behind the scenes
  • Long PSUs will easily fit

The NZXT H9 Flow chassis is a pretty beefy and spacious Mid-Tower chassis. However, even with its glass design and attention to detail, NZXT manages to offer it for a reasonable price at $159.99, taking into account you get four matching fans as well. Considering the unique in-house design and functionality inherited from the $239.99 Elite variant, fans of this case layout have a far lower cost of entry. On top of that NZXT did not simply repuprose the tooling but actually tweaked it slightly to accommodate the fact that the H9 Flow has the vented top while the Elite comes with a glass panel instead.

Looking at the exterior, the H9 Flow feels like a case where NZXT finally really pulled out all the stops, whereas the smaller units of that family seem to be more in the realm of progressive refreshes. The massive amount of room also makes the H9 an excellent choice for those wanting to cool their system with lots of fans or even multiple radiator liquid cooling setups, while also providing uncompromising volume for the biggest GPUs out there. Even the cable management is well thought out and the end result of that effort clearly shows when viewing the interior behind the motherboard tray. That said, NZXT could have added grommets to some of the larger openings to really keep things clean. But, even if there is some room for improvement it doesn't really diminish the H9 Flow's visual potential.

We would have loved to see a basic fan controller and ideally PWM capable fans. Heck, even a 3-way splitter cable for the front fans would have been useful enough, especially as many brands tend to offer some sort of small PCB with that kind of functionality in this price segment these days. However, that is really the only tangible gripe and at this price the H9 Flow manages to offer so much uniqueness that it is an easy pick if you are looking for a larger case for your high-end hardware.
