Overclocking
To find the maximum overclock of our card we used a combination of GPUTool and our benchmarking suite.
The overclocks listed here were achieved with the default fan and voltage settings as defined in the VGA BIOS. Please note that every single sample overclocks differently, that's why our results here can only serve as a guideline for what you can expect from your card.
The overclocks of our card are 740 MHz core (14% overclock) and 1015 MHz Memory (13% overclock). The overclocks are good, in line with what I would expect from a new NVIDIA GPU. Whether overclocking makes any sense on a graphics card like this is up to you to decide depending on your requirements.
Using these clock frequencies we ran a quick test of Call of Duty 4 to evaluate the gains from overclocking.
The actual 3D performance gained from overclocking is 12.6%.
Temperatures
Temperatures look excellent. Even with overclocking the temperature is comfortably cool. Even though the fan is very quiet already, I see some additional potential to quieten it down some more. Maybe some board-partner might even release a passively cooled version of the GeForce GT 220
