Phanteks AMP 1000 White Edition

The Phanteks Amp 1000-watt PSU in this white edition was launched in May 2022. It ships in a white box with subtle lettering to not distract from it being white.


Out of the box, the unit can be considered extremely compact, so it should be a great choice for SFF enclosures utilizing ATX-based power supplies.


Several zip ties, white Velcro ties, some documentation and a thick, black power cord are included, too. Phanteks goes the extra mile and ships the white variant with cables to match, which is really cool to see.


Both sides of the Amp 1000 have the model name, with one side flipped over, so it will be the right way up regardless of how you install the power supply.


Even the PSU fan is white, which is a nice touch considering ever seeing it is unlikely. A sticker on the opposite side provides all the usually specifications and certification logos. The exterior-facing part of the Amp 1000 has an on/off switch and hybrid button to switch between a semi-passive mode or always having the fan spin to some degree. On the interior side, all the connectors are flush with the compact housing. While these are black, none of it is visible as soon as you connect a white cable.
