Overclocking

To find the maximum overclock of our card we used a combination of AMD internal overclocking software and our benchmarking suite.

The final overclocks of our card are 844 MHz core (10% overclock) and 1131 MHz Memory (13% overclock). Both overclocks are very solid and show that there is quite some headroom left in the RV730 design. You have to consider that this is the first batch of silicon that is used on production cards, so improvements in the future are to be expected.

Temperatures

While the HD 4850 and HD 4870 where plagued by high load temperatures, the HD 4670 runs comfortably cool. A completely passive cooling solution seems realistic, let's hope that some add in board partners will soon offer such cards.
