PowerColor's heatsink uses three heatpipes to transport heat away from the GPU core to an array of fins where heat is dissipated in the fan's airflow.
The card has two 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors which are specified up to 225 W power delivery.
The GDDR5 memory chips are made by Elpida, and carry the model number W1032BABG-50-F. They are specified to run at 1250 MHz (5000 MHz GDDR5 effective).
Wow! PowerColor has dug up Volterra's old VT1165, which is the most feature-rich voltage controller for overclockers ever made! It's the same controller that we have seen on ATI's dual-GPU cards like HD 3870 X2, HD 4870 X2 and HD 5970, it offers voltage control via I2C and also extensive monitoring capabilities.
AMD's Barts graphics processor is made on a 40 nm process at TSMC Taiwan. It uses approximately 1.7 billion transistors on a die area of 255 mm². This is also the first GPU to carry the AMD logo instead of the ATI logo.
