A Closer Look

The Aidos CPU cooler from Raijintek is a small single-tower CPU cooler made for the budget-conscious consumer. The forty-two aluminum fins are thin and easily bendable. However, they are evenly spaced and tightly secured to the four 6 mm heatpipes, thanks to a solder-less louver-fin assembly.

Raijintek has their logo positioned visibly on the top aluminum fin, which is common to all their coolers. The Aidos also has the ability to handle two fans, but Raijintek only provided five anti-vibration mounts, which makes properly mounting a second fan with the included hardware impossible.

Making use of CPU Direct Contact (C.D.C), the heatpipes on the Aidos are arranged in the traditional U-shape. This allows the heatpipes to directly touch the IHS on the CPU. The top of the cooler clearly shows the four heatpipes to be evenly spaced apart, with Raijintek's logo also being clearly visible in the middle.

The base is flat, and while not made entirely of copper, the four 6 mm heatpipes do take up a great deal of space, which should prove them to be more than capable of transferring heat to the small aluminum fin stack.

The fan with model number A09225MHAB is a PWM fan that spins at 1000-2400 RPM. It has no special grooves or funky frame designs and is, for all intents and purposes, a typical fan. The sleeving on the fan is also a nice touch; however, wiring is still barely visible near the 4-pin PWM connector and the fan itself. The fan is certainly nothing special, but it does look good with the red and white color scheme offering up a bit of flair.
