A Closer Look

The Raijintek Ereboss is a single tower design and a huge one at that. It consists of six 6 mm heatpipes and 34 massive aluminum fins. A hole on top extends straight through the cooler for mounting purposes and is located right next to the company logo on the top. The cooler is also slighty off center, which should give a bit more clearance near the DIMM slots.


Small air holes have been punched through 33 of the 34 aluminum fins to enhance the design's cooling efficiency. The Ereboss uses a solder-less fin assembly to connect the aluminum cooling fins to the six cooper heatpipes. There is also the option of mounting a second fan to the Ereboss cooler should users wish to do so, but that would take four additional anti-vibration fan mounts and a second fan.


The 6 mm heatpipes are arranged in a crisscrossing pattern as they come out of the base. This should result in an even transfer of heat to the aluminum fin stack for optimal cooling. The heatpipes are of course soldered to the base with no visible gaps.


The base on the Ereboss is beautiful. This is the first cooler I have had come with a base that has a mirror finish. As can be seen in the images, it really does offer a near-perfect mirror surface. That said, it is not a huge deal in terms of performance but does add a nice bit of flair.


The 14013 super slim PWM fan is just ridiculously thin; it is out of this world. While the specs for this fan model number, the AG14013MMSPAB, look solid, it still strikes me as an odd pairing with such a huge heatsink, but I certainly have high hopes for the Ereboss CPU cooler after taking a closer look at Raijintek's offering.
