Founded in 1998, Razer is a US-based peripherals and gaming-equipment company. With the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle, Razer for the first time ever brings polling rates in excess of 1000 Hz to wireless gaming mice. In conjunction with a compatible Razer wireless mouse, both 2000 and 4000 Hz become available, which bring the polling interval down from to 1 ms to 0.5 and 0.25 ms, respectively. As a result, both sensor motion delay and click latency decrease accordingly, along with benefits to overall cursor smoothness and positional accuracy. The downside is that battery life suffers, going from an 80 hour minimum to approximately 24 hours of continuous usage on the Viper V2 Pro with 4000 Hz, for instance. At the time of writing, the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle is only compatible with the Razer Viper V2 Pro, DeathAdder V3 Pro, and Basilisk V3 Pro, and exclusively available through Razer's own store. For this review, the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle has been tested with the Viper V2 Pro (see here for our review).
