Benchmarking

There are two primary factors for us to judge how this phone performs in games, and combined with what makes each product obviously different from others out there, we have more than just a couple of angles from which to evaluate each product's performance. Naturally, the capabilities of the screen are a big factor since there is no point in having added performance if you can't actually put it to use. The CPU and its capabilities are important as well, and benchmarks like 3DMARK exist in the mobile space these days, and have ways to compare even phones and tablets, as well as full-fledged PCs. Thanks to tests spanning all of these product categories, we can compare outright raw numbers in several ways. Finding the FPS output of a gaming phone like the REDMAGIC 7 is then fairly easy, and the results here are quite impressive to say the least. Be that as it may, the REDMAGIC 7 allows you to monitor FPS via an overlay widget, so it's easy to see performance in real-time.

3DMARK Wild Life:

Repeated tests of 3DMARK's Wild Life benchmark saw reported numbers bounce just above or just below a nice round 10000 points. This is faster than the iPhone 12 and 13, and Samsung's latest.

Call of Duty Mobile:

The REDMAGIC 7 got a solid 60 FPS in Call of Duty Mobile, with all graphical settings at their maximum.

PUBG Mobile:

PUBG Mobile saw great consistent performance, with 40 FPS a solid number with the highest graphical settings. Reducing the settings a notch boosted that to a nice buttery smooth 60 FPS.
