Rosewill RHTS-11002 Rosewood In-ears Review

The Package

The box is pretty neutral and lets you see the earphones and their finish clearly. The rosewood casings give them a unique look, and the aluminum accents are definitely a nice touch.

The bundle is not that great. You get a carrying bag and three sets of tips, ranging from small through medium to large. The quality of the silicone tips is not as good as that of higher end in-ears. They are a bit too soft for our liking, and can be inserted into your ears with the sound tube blocked.

Closer Examination

The earphones have a rosewood body with some aluminum accents. The look of these in-ears is definitely not what you would expect of a $20 set.

One of the nice things about the RHTS-11002 is that they are moderately flashy and really well made. The assembly quality is very high, but the wood handles wear and tear over time. Being wrapped around a phone a couple of days did not seem to hurt them, but wood is more susceptible to humidity and temperature changes than plastic is, and durability might, in the long run, be compromised.

When the earphones are inserted, the only visible part is that made of rosewood.

Cable wise, the Rosewill in-ears are quite well off. Both the cable jacket and its features are well made.

The sound tube is covered with a metal mesh that you can clean out if you are careful. This type of filter is commonly used and is a bit of a pain to clean, but it does work well.
