Installation

To install the Ashura cooler, users will first need to get the backplate into place. Make sure to use the plastic spacers before screwing down the four stud nuts; that is, after putting the backplate into place.

With the backplate firmly installed, it's time to use the Intel mounting plates. Screw these into place after lining them up properly. Make sure to apply the thermal paste before mounting the heatsink.

Put the mounting bar into place and place the heatsink on the CPU, before lining the screw holes up and using two large screws to secure the heatsink to the mounting plates.

Simply attach the fan using the included fan clips and plug it into the CPU fan header. You have now successfully installed the Scythe Ashura.

Scythe's mounting hardware for the Ashura is very simple and straightforward. I would rate the installation process a 8 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). The heatsink design of the Ashura makes installing the fan clips a bit easier than on the Mugen 4.
