Seasonic PRIME Series 750 W Review

A Look Inside & Component Analysis »

Packaging

The large box has an interesting design, and the most interesting part on its front is an icon for the 10-year warranty Seasonic provides with this product.

On one of two sides are the technical and power specifications tables, while Seasonic lists the PSU's most notable features on the back, using several paragraphs to do so.

Contents

Seasonic used packing foam to protect the PSU during shipping. They also put it inside a nice velvet bag.

The accessories box contains all modular cables and the AC power cord. The rest of the bundle includes the user's manual, quick installation guide, several Velcro straps, zip ties, a set of screws, Seasonic case badge and Seasonic sticker. All in all, the bundle is worthy of such an expensive product.

Exterior

The fan grille with its black and silver mesh is nice since it provides all Prime units with a unique look. At the front are the power switch and a button that toggles the PSU's semi-passive operation on/off. It is nice to see this button at the front where it will be readily accessible.

The sides have two vents that look like those of a sports car's, which makes for a nice visual touch. Lastly, there's the specifications label on the bottom.

A large number of modular sockets are housed on the modular board.

Small dimensions, high-end performance, and nice looks. What more is there to ask for? A lower price would be nice.

Cables

The cables consist of darkened wires, and every cable but the main ATX cable is flat.
