The Package

The unboxing experience is designed to make your audiophile juices flow from the moment you lay your eyes on the Sennheiser HD 660 S. The design of the outer box is minimalist. Almost completely black with only the front partially depicting the headphones and their name, there is also a short message: The Legend Continues. Such a small, but impactful detail, it does a great job of reminding you that you spent your money on something really special—a piece of hi-fi history, if you will.

Inside the cardboard box is another fine-looking box that holds the headphones and all accessories. It can be used to store the HD 660 S when you're not using it (or to potentially start a conversation about it if you display it in your living room).

Here is everything you get after buying the Sennheiser HD 660 S. Aside from the aforementioned box and the headphones themselves, there is a user manual, two exceptionally long, para-aramid reinforced 3-meter cables, and an adapter you'll use if you want to connect the HD 660 S to a device with a standard 3.5-mm audio port. One of the cables terminates in a 6.35-mm plug, while the other offers a 4.4-mm Pentaconn plug for a balanced connection with amplifiers that support it.
