Software
Both in terms of look and functionality, the software is reminiscent of the Glorious Model D/O/O- software. All settings are accessible through five different tabs: Button remapping, CPI adjustment (50–16,000 CPI in increments of 50, X-/Y-adjustment independently, up to seven levels), illumination, LOD, and macros. Polling rate adjustment is possible over the slider at the bottom of the mouse (125/500/1000 Hz). Lastly, profile management is available as well. On my system, the software had a RAM footprint of 15 MB on average.
Lighting
The Light² 200 has three zones for RGB lighting in total, which are the scroll wheel, the logo, and the underside LED strip at the back. Through the software, it is possible to select from among nine available pre-defined lighting effects. These are Pulsating RGB Cycle (default), Pulsating, Permanent, Color Change (multi-color transition), Single Color Marquee (single-color wave effect), Multi Color Marquee (multi-color wave effect), Ripple Effect, Trigger, and Heartbeat (single-color pulse). It's possible to set custom colors and adjust brightness and transition speed. Of course, it is also possible to disable the lighting altogether.
Color accuracy and vibrancy are excellent throughout. Here's a short demonstration video of the default "Pulsating RGB Cycle" effect, as well as the "Multi Color Marquee" and "Heartbeat" lighting effects:
