A Closer Look - Inside

To access to the chassis, you first have to pull off the glass front. Then, you may pull the sides off by detaching two push pins each. Doing so gives you unrestricted access to the interior from three sides.

The main side, pictured first, is where the GPU will be located. Due to the glass cover, things may get a little warmer than with a metal-mesh opening, but none of that should be detrimental to the overall functional experience. Looking at the front, it becomes apparent that the motherboard is meant to be installed towards the top of the chassis. On the other side, once the HDD plate is removed, you have easy access to any headers and the SFX PSU.

On the floor is a 120 mm fan set to pull cool air in. Interesting is definitely the opening to the left as it allows you to slide a long GPU through and straight into place. Because of this opening, you can easily go for a long graphics card of up to 309 mm in length without issue, which is certainly a nice touch. On the other end, towards the top, you can clearly see the ITX motherboard area featuring another 120 mm fan. This one pushes air out the top of the case, so the two cooling units build an upward funnel to keep things as cool as possible within the LD03.

Underneath the PSU, the SFX frame is simple but effective, and you have a choice of a compact SFX unit or slightly larger and more affordable SFX-L variant instead. The LD03 may hold up to two drivers on the mounting plate. These could either be two 2.5" variants or one 3.5" and one 2.5" unit.

All the cables within the Silverstone LD03 are of the default variety and short enough not to get in the way terribly when assembling the system. Great is also that you get a fan splitter cable because it allows you to connect both included case fans to a single motherboard header, especially considering most ITX boards only have a limited number of those.
