Introduction
SPC Gear is the gaming peripheral division of Poland-based SilentiumPC, which specializes in PC components. Last year's LIX Plus scored very well
in our review, securing an Editor's Choice. While the GEM Plus has the exact same shape, it does away with the holes almost entirely, yet manages to achieve a still low weight of 67 g. Furthermore, PixArt's latest PAW3370 sensor capable of 19,000 CPI instead of the PMW3360 is used, along with Kailh GM 8.0 switches rated for 80 million clicks for the main buttons. No major changes have been made to the paracord-like, braided cable and PTFE feet, but a different software is now used to adjust the still rich RGB lighting, among other settings. Most importantly, the GEM Plus still goes for a highly competitive $44.99.
